Who’ll win and who will lose? Who gives a shit with drab, uneventful and unmoving films such as Atonement and Juno?
This years Academy Awards Nominations are pure garbage. With Best Picture nods going to Atonement, Juno, Michael Clayton, No Country for Old Men and There Will Be Blood. Boo!!!
Great movies such as American Gangster is only getting a nod for Supporting Actress (Ruby Dee) and Art Direction. Come on Hollywood, Art Direction? And i’m not sure if the committee watched the same movie that i did, but the best acting going on in American Gangster was not by Ruby Dee. Once again, Denzel is getting robbed. No, i’m not saying American Gangster is the Best Picture of the year, but it’s certainly not There Will Be Blood.
What about the other good/great movies of 2007? 300, Sunshine, 28 Weeks Later, Black Snake Moan, Transformers, The Kingdom, Superbad, Eastern Promises, The Great Debaters, Day Watch, 3:10 To Yuma, Alpha Dog, Curse Of The Golden Flower, The Last King Of Scotland.
The Academy dropped ball this year, but then again they always do. Except when Denzel got an oscar for Training Day. King Kong ain’t got nothin on me!!!
