fans have been on a roller coaster ride from Food & Liquor to Lasers. And who could forget the flop of a mixtape, Friend of the People. But whats goes down must come back up and Lupe is definitely on the uphill with latest track, American Terrorist III. In the words of Jay-Z and Kanye this ish cray.

American Terrorist III is not a throwaway track from Friend of the People, but new work. The track samples Kavinsky’s – Nightcall (from the Drive Soundtrack). And for all you Lupe historian’s American Terroist I was on Food & Liquor and there has never been an American Terrorist II.

has returned to his Soul By The Pound days with his latest release The Dreamer, The Believer. In the weeks leading up his latest project, has been on promo spree including exclusive tracks, freestyles and a track-by-track video breakdown. After listening to the album, The Dreamer, The Believer i can confirm that it lives up to the hype and will be a front-runner in the Album of the Year race.

To add to the hype, Common has released a full stream of Dreamer, Believer in a move that is totally left field in the eyes of labels and other artists. It’s a risky move, but Mr. Breaker 1/9 is rolling dice on that fact that more people will pre-order the album than rip it from YouTube. My money is on Common.

Video | David Dallas – Take a Picture

New video from Duck Down’s . The video was conceived by (production company behind Alicia Key’s HP commercial)  and sees 7 different directors/animators interpreting 7 parts of the song. Each person was given a segment of the song and access to David Dallas. A few rules were put in place. Each scene was to be shot on a different format: 16mm film, VHS, Stop Motion, 3d Animation, and during the creation of the video, the directors were not allowed to know what each other were doing. The result is a series of beautiful, very different images pieced together to make the video.

David Dallas is currently working on his Rose Tint Deluxe album that will be available on November 8th through Dawn Raid Ent / Dirty Management / Duck Down Music. The project, both digital & CD formats, will feature 4 bonus tracks from the originalRose Tint album. The CD packaging will also include a bonus disc with the album instrumentals.
